What Does BLC Do?

As a registered charity with tax deductable gift (DRG) status, Braidwood Life Centre Inc., works within the local community (postcode 2622) and aims to relieve suffering through providing a hand up when required.

BLC is a group of volunteers who support the following programs:

24-hour emergency telephone support, 7 days /week, 365 days/year

Pastoral care visits

Distribution of vouchers for food, fuel, gas, emergency wood and water; and emergency accommodation.

Support the distribution of Christmas hampers in association with our local St Vincent De Paul Society.

Refer to regional agencies including financial advice or support, families living with someone with a mental illness, and out of home care as required.

Facilitate the Duke of Edinburgh Award program. Enable community education such as Mental Health First Aid and Parent support.

Provide family support and facilitate handy home help.

Who runs Braidwood Life Centre?

BLC is a group of local volunteers. The management committee includes volunteers from a cross section of our local community. The Committee includes elected and appointed members with varying skills that enable a broad focus and diverse functions. The current committee members include:
