Braidwood Life Centre is a local community group trying to help our elderly, those in need and the young. We are a registered charity supported by all the Churches and the wider community of Braidwood. We have over 70 members, many of whom help with our work in town.
We have volunteers visiting the elderly in their homes and in hospital.
A hand up is available to those in need; 24/7 by phone, or at our room on Thursdays, 11 am – midday. Support includes vouchers for food, fuel and gas and emergency accommodation. Referrals are made to agencies in Canberra and Queanbeyan where necessary.
We run the Duke of Edinburgh Award programme in town for our youth. Bus trips are available to Canberra in the school holidays.
We are about to set up a group for young mothers.
For assistance or support please phone:- 0437 989 993 Or come to our Life Centre rooms at the Recreation Ground between 10 am and midday on any Thursday
The cost of providing support is increasing. We are always looking for new local people to help us. If you would like to become a member or make a tax deductible donation please use the Contact Us form.
